After the colossal success of Get Out in 2017, Jordan Peele is back with the announcement of his new film Us due out in March 2019.

The film is set to star Oscar winner, Lupita Nyong’o, and Elisabeth Moss in the lead role, with the rest of the cast yet to be announced. At the moment, further details on the upcoming film are scarce, with only an ambiguous poster being released online via Jordan Peele’s twitter.

Peele’s debut effort, Get Out, was a sharp and wicked social critique, guised in the form of a horror film. Upon release, it instantaneously took a hold of the cultural zeitgeist, becoming quickly regarded for its unapologetic and searing insights into race relations within America.

Get Out impressed critics and audiences alike holding a Metacritic score of 84%. It raked in a staggering $255 million and nabbed Peele an Oscar for best original screenplay.

Audiences will have to wait for more information on the anticipated film, hopefully not in the sunken place.

If you haven’t seen it already, do yourself a favour and watch it. At the very least, check out the trailer below
