While you slept, we received the wonderful news that legendary actor and comedian (and Wu-Tang collaborator) Bill Murray is touring Australia in 2018.

The Groundhog Day star has announced that he’ll be performing around the country alongside German–American cellist, Jan Vogler. The New Worlds live show is based on the duo’s album of the same name, which explores the intersection of music and classic literature from Ernest Hemingway, Walt Whitman and more.

Vogler’s wife, Chinese-American violinist Mira Wang will also be performing, as will Venezuelan-American pianist Vanessa Perez. Murray calls the show a “collision of America and Europe… We are from four different continents. And when the continents come together, the music moves right across the peninsulas from one to the other. It’s just a short journey from one continent to the other.”

You can witness Bill Murray’s perform some literature live onstage in November, accompanied by a serene musical backdrop. Sound like a refined night? Tickets will go on sale from Wednesday, February 14 – click here for all the details, including that ever-important pre-sale:
