Photographer Luke Van Aurich Launches ‘Recess’ Exhibition In Melbourne Tonight

Self-taught photographer Luke Van Aurich is launching his latest exhibition Recess tonight in Melbourne.

Part of RVCA’s Artist Network Program, the event will take place at the brand’s Corner Gallery in Collingwood, where the public will be able to view Recess’ global debut and purchase all work via a $10 raffle ticket. All proceeds from the exhibition will go towards Seed Mob, Australia’s first Indigenous youth-­led climate network.

Van Aurich is remaining typically tight-lipped about the show so that viewers can interpret the work themselves, but Recess “explores thoughts rendered in the paralysis of sleep and musings on fleeting moments of clarity through a series of photographs.” Additionally, you can see some of his previous work in his portfolio here.
