Just in time for Splendour, DMA’s have dropped a video for dancey number ‘The End.’

Having just completed a sold out national tour and supported Liam Gallagher at Finsbury Park, you could say it’s been a busy couple of months for the Sydney three-piece. Now they can add another single to their long list of achievements this year with the release of their fifth video from their sophomore LP, For Now.

‘The End’ is the track in many ways represents a departure from the Hills End sound, with synth and beat heavy track more of the kind of thing you would expect on at an 80’s dance floor rather than from the group who gave us indie-rock tracks like ‘Too Soon’ and ‘Timeless.’ However, singer Tom O’Dell’s distinct vocal and knack for crafting memorable melodies remains the same.

The video, which was directed by W.A.M. Bleakley, focusses around the kindness of strangers as we follow three different sets of lonely souls as they wander around the city at night painting gloomy scenes. It suits the pessimistic lyrical content of the track and contrasts nicely with the upbeat musical flavourings.

DMA’s will be heading back to their second home after Splendour, hitting the Britain’s Midlands with shows at Reading and Leeds festivals in August as well as a show supporting indie-rock legends Kasabian.
