Creepy costumes seem to be the theme for Mac’s latest couple of videos.
With ‘Nobody’, the first single from his forthcoming Here Comes The Cowboy record, indie icon Mac DeMarco took on the role as cigar-smoking cowboy lizard thing for the video. Needless to say, the clip was quite unique, and now he’s pushed the combination of balladry and creepy masks even further with the visual accompaniment to his tune ‘On The Square’.
Directed by William Sipos and Sean Campos, the clip sees Mac parading around in a pig mask and tuxedo and diving into a birdbath filled with milk. Weird right? The strangest thing about it is that it somehow suits the song perfectly with the surreal imagery playing nicely with the melancholic tune.
