Earlier this year, RÜFÜS DU SOL returned with their first new track in over two years in ‘No Place,’ and now the single has received the video treatment.

Having climbed their way to the top of the ARIA charts with their previous album Atlas, the group have since leapfrogged to global success, and will look to take the mission further with a new album confirmed to release in 2018. ‘No Place’ is our first taste of that album, and combines the group’s dancefloor tendencies with their typically smooth and emotive aura.

The video takes us into both vast deserts and nocturnal cityscapes. Director Alex George says that “in the video, the robes are a way of travel… through time and dimensions. We don’t know. It’s that feeling of when you’re at the beach and you’re rugged up in a towel with just the sun peeking through. There is something about that feeling. About being in yourself and being somewhere very specific.”

“I think I’m only recently starting to understand real gratitude. It always felt like this feeling you had to feel when someone gives you something. But it snuck up on me. What that feeling actually is. That’s what the song is about to me. Realising out of all the infinite possibilities and places you could be, you are here. And it’s great.”
