If you’re already starting to formulate NYE plans in your brain, then Origin NYE has presented one hell of a case with their blockbuster first line-up announcement.

Origin has long been hosting some of the country’s best festival line-ups over on the West Coast. Last year, they snagged ASAP Rocky and Die Antwoord for exclusive Australian shows, and they might have just outdone themselves for their 10th anniversary.

To celebrate double digits, they’ll be returning to Perth’s Claremont Showground on December 31, with ScHoolboy Q and Stormzy as headliners – two particularly eyebrow raising additions given that both artists will be playing Splendour In The Grass in just a few days. DJ Snake will also be delivering his anthemic bass anthems at Origin, while Mura Masa will be touring following the release of his widely-acclaimed self-titled album last week.

DJ champion and Fool’s Gold head honcho A-Trak will be returning for the festival, while Baauer and Sub Focus are two other notable producers appearing on NYE. Out of all the artists announced, only one – chaotic rap crew $uicideboy$ – have been billed as appearing exclusively at Origin. With other NYE/NYD festivals like Beyond The Valley and Field Day yet to reveal their rosters, we’re guessing that many of these acts will also be making their way around the country during the 2017/2018 transition.
