Coming straight out of Melbourne’s inner-north, Belove are back and sliding into your earholes with their slick new single, ‘Stop.’

Strangely enough, ‘Stop’ does the exact opposite – it’s a restrained dancefloor number that’ll get you moving, tying in the group’s electronic and soul influences neatly. With ‘Stop’ already earning acclaim from triple j, Belove now deliver some moody visuals for the single.

The video which was directed by Hoodwolf Harris takes place in a good ol’ fashioned house party with dim lighting, beers and the Belove boys playing live from the living room.

There’s a bit more of an electronic influence in the hook than usual,” says Nick Hermanus, frontman of the group. “This was definitely inspired by some of the latest Bruno Mars tracks. We just want people to dance!”

If ‘Stop’ tickles your fancy, you can see Belove playing it live at their hometown single launch, hitting The Penny Black in Brunswick on May 11. They’ll be joined by RINI & Kye, so head down if you’d like to cut some smooth shapes:
