Taking a look at what has been a turbulent year for the star, Searching For Kanye West attempts to unveil the man behind the tweets.

No one would argue that over 2018 Kanye West has grabbed his share of controversial headlines. From his slavery was “a choice” comments on TMZ, to his now infamous meeting in the Oval Office with Donald Trump in which he gushed over the president, to his support of right-wing advocate Candace Owens, through to his most recent Twitter beef with Drake, it seems that (whether it is deserved or not) he can’t help but attract negative attention at the moment.

Aiming to uncover the thought train behind Kanye’s political reasoning, and what appears to be a shift in the rappers persona, the BBC have sent Ben Zand over the the US to make the aptly titled documentary, Searching For Kanye West. Here Zand heads to Chicago, to meet with Kanye’s longtime collaborators and family where he asks them what they believe is motivating Kanye’s behaviour.
