Little Sea are getting kinda big. Having only released their first single ‘Thank You’ last year, they’ve hit the road with fellow pop-rock bros 5 Seconds of Summer – and will be headlining their own gigs this July.

With a record on the way (and a snippet of their upcoming single), we spent a day with the Sydney crew as they hit Twitter HQ, sat in some business meetings and hit a gig featuring Kurt Coleman. See how it went down below:

We meet up with Little Sea and head to Twitter headquarters, home of all the most engaging online content. They’re here to answer all the pressing questions from their fans in a Q&A session. Is that a neon hashtag floating above their heads? And is that #HappyDrinkDay plastered on the wall? This is the happiest place on Earth. #LITTLESEA #TRENDING #HASHTAG

Time to cool off in the rain after that red-hot Q&A session.

We hop out of the cab and straight into a business meeting at Sony. You can always tell how serious a meeting is by the size of the table. Dreams and careers have come into fruition on this table. Years of hard work have culminated in contracts signed on this table. Don’t mess with the table. Today, Little Sea and some label bros discuss world domination and how to get Leighton to stop wearing his sunnies inside.

Pensive faces and thinking caps on when we head inside the Sony recording studio aka home of the hits. Just making sure all the Little Sea recordings sound schmick.

Tonight’s gig is AMPLIFY, an event that’s described as “a festival for the connected generation.” Staying #RELEVANT and #CONNECTED in 2015 is very crucial. On the bill is mind-blowingly successful Perth singer Troye Sivan, Kurt Coleman (legend) and of course, the Little Sea lads. This is the line to get entry, or maybe the line for a selfie with Kurt Coleman. We’re not sure.

Preparations are underway, and the empty Hordern Pavilion is looking as vast as ever.

Andrew checking out the huge safe in Little Sea’s dressing room – such a shame that he couldn’t guess the code, because we hear that there’s some hidden treasures inside.

If you’re not going for mass trolley rides mid-way through your interviews in 2015, then you’re clearly not dedicated to engaging content or the connected generation. Stay on this level.

Getting a selfie on this oversize Twitter mirror for the best angle. Oli has a selfie game that rivals Kim Kardashian, he might display his finest works in a 445-page book about them too. #KUWTK #SELFISH

The boys waiting for their rug to arrive for their drum set. Salute to Rimmel for sponsoring the whole event, who are the undisputed lords of the cosmetics game. It’s a tough industry out there, but their mascara and lip gloss range have stood the test of time and keep the ladies looking mint all year round. God bless Rimmel. #GETTHELONDONLOOK

Fucking with the lighting dudes and creating a giant pulsating love heart to emanate positive energy throughout the whole of Hordern Pavilion. Can you feel the love? This is the sort of technology we should be using to end wars. Where’s that damn rug?

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-12

The rug is here! Thank Christ, because who wants to perform without a rug? Little Sea tune up and make sure all the instruments are doing what they’re supposed to.

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-13

Soundcheck is looking like full-blown rockstar stuff. Oh yeah, can’t wait for this gig to start!

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-14

What did we tell you about the boys’ selfie game? Fitting five people inside one phone screen is easy as pie during this meet and greet with fans. We just hope that this fan can crop it adequately to fit inside that Instagram square. We’ve never seen so many excited girls in our lives – These guys have a tough gig.

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-15

The stream of fans isn’t slowing down – so the lads get everyone in for a group photo before having to run onstage. What a bunch of democratic legends! And is that a plush Gene Simmons toy in the front row? This is the night that keeps on giving.

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-17

You know we had to get a close-up of Gene Simmons. Leighton is a huge KISS enthusiast, and one of the Little Sea fans was courteous enough to do their research and gift him this prized possession. Heartwarming stuff. #HORNSUP

Hordern Pavilion putting work into their catering options, salute to flaky pastry.

Dylan with a quick pre-show workout – plus a sleeveless shirt to flaunt the guns and keep the ladies happy. Nothing says ‘quintessential man’ like a flex and a bass guitar. Not a #DADBOD in sight. #SUMMERRIG

Hands in – time to kick some ass.

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-21

The crowd going crazy, so many high-pitched screams and squeals that we may actually be partially deaf now.

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-23

The crowd raise their phones and make a not so little sea of lights (see what we did there) for their last track.

LUKELATTYLWALITTLESEA24-24

Post-performance shot showing the real magnitude of the crowd. Ginormous!
