ATL rap legend and (surprisingly) real estate tycoon, 2 Chainz, has proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Nakesha Ward on the famous staircase of the Met Gala.

Taking his soon-to-be wife by surprise, Chainz took the knee in a sea of paparazzi and news cameras.  After saying “yes”, she showed off her sizeable ring to the media, clearly ecstatic and overwhelmed. The future Mr and Mrs Epps (or Chainz) then proceeded to walk into the prestigious New York socialite event.

2 Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) and Ward already have 3 kids together – 9-year-old Heaven, 5-year-old Harmony, and 2-year-old Halo.

Earlier this year, 2 Chainz released an EP titled The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It in anticipation for the release of his fourth Album Rap Or Go To The League. The music video for his single Proud was made as an ode to his mother. Check it out below.
