Fans of the iconic franchise may have been a little confused by the May teaser trailer, when it appeares to be largely focussed around the character accomplished child actor, Jacob Tremblay. Sure there was a little action, and we learnt that it is Tremblay’s character who sends a beacon to the predator, bringing him back to earth, but there was very little straight up slaying from the predator.
With the official red-band dropping last night, we’ve finally got a taste of what makes The Predator films so great – brutal killings and anxious humans. We also see the genetically upgraded predator which really means business, and it seems like there isn’t much that we pathetic humans will be able to do to stop them.
The Shane Black directed film stars Trembly, Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes and Keegan-Michael Key and will hit cinemas around the country September 13.
