Headlining the whole affair will be local faves DZ Deathrays. While they’re currently in the studio to bless your earholes with even more material, they’ve earned themselves a reputation across the globe for their no-holds-barred approach to live shows, especially off the back of 2014 album Black Rat. They’ll be bringing hellish riffs alongside Sydney acts Papa Pilko & The Binrats and Los Tones, both of whom have been impressing audiences on the local indie circuit. Captain Franco of Australia’s best party-starting rap duo Halfway Crooks will be be dropping bangers as the night’s DJ, having just stepped off the Listen Out tour – and we’re expecting plenty of Three 6 Mafia and (fingers crossed) some Gravediggaz too!
So, what’s going to happen when you fuse Australia’s best rock acts with a local rap guru on the decks? It’s a festival-worthy lineup that’s gonna be the country’s biggest and best party come Halloween. There will be shenanigans, there will be headbanging and enough Budweisers to keep you going all night long. Make sure your costume includes dancing shoes, because you’re going to need ’em.
The location is yet to be revealed, but trust us when we say that the space is off tap. We’ll have buses from Avalon, Manly and Bondi to help you get there and back – with 50 seats per bus. First in, best dressed – so make sure you snag a spot.
To score you and your mates an invite, just get in contact with somebody at Team LWA, Budweiser or Monster Children. It’s that easy! Weirdness is not only tolerated, it’s encouraged – so get creative and prepare your rig ready for a night to remember:
