With reported cases of the coronavirus in China reaching the hundreds, many outside of Wuhan province where it is thought to have originated, and the death toll rising to 18, video captured by Radio Free Asia appears to show an infected patient being transported in a plastic tube for quarantine. Elsewhere images are being shared of infected people being transported in boxes to minimise contact with medical staff.
So far cases have been confirmed in Japan, Taiwan, the US, South Korea, and Thailand. In Australia, one person suspected of the virus was quarantined yesterday, whilst the US are currently monitoring 16 people, one of which is being treated 20-foot-by-20-foot bio-containment room and treated by a robot with a stethoscope.
