And we've hit peak nostalgia.
News 5m

After a two-decade hiatus from acting, Moranis will reprise his role as Wayne Szalinski, the mad scientist who shrunk the kids. Moranis had previously retired from on-screen acting to care for his children after the death of his wife.

Beloved Disney classic Honey I Shrunk The Kids has a sequel in the works with a couple of OGs returning for the revamp. Simply titled, Shrunk, the sequel also sees Joe Johnston return to the director’s role, while Josh Gad joins the lineup as Nick Szalinski (aka the once-shrunk son of Wayne) who aspires to be a great scientist like his dad. Not too many other details are known at this point but it is believed that Moranis’ long-awaited return to acting in Shrunk will be made in theatres, not via Disney+.
