Breaking that societal distancing…

A dozen inmates have broken out of a Washington state jail over fears of Coronavirus. The inmates reportedly broke down a door and hopped a fence to freedom. So far six of the fugitives have been apprehended whilst the other six are still on the run.

When captured, the fugitives stated that “they were upset after the Governor’s press conference regarding the statewide order to shelter in place and the virus outbreak has them all scared,” according to Yakima County officials.

The state offered a mandatory stay at home order on Monday that will be lasting for at least two weeks.

The break happened in a jail that holds low level offenders. Inmates are said to have used a table to break open a fire door and then jumped the fence on the outside, according to KAPP-KVEW.
