Looks so damn good…

Much to the delight of Star Wars fans around the world, Disney has released the first trailer for the second season of The Mandalorian, and it looks every bit as good as we were hoping. Set to start streaming in October, the trailer sees Mando navigating the universe while protecting his young companion (essentially foster-son at this point), Baby Yoda.

However, things get dicey when the Armorer tells him to reunite the child “With its own kind”, stating that “The songs of aeons past tell of battles of Mandalore the Great and an order of sorcerers called Jedi,” to which Mando (played by the ever-so talented Pedro Pascal) replies: “You expect me to search the galaxy and deliver this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?”

“This is the way,” she responds, and of course, goosebumps ensue.

The trailer also sees the return of the Stormtroopers and Imperials, who appear to step it up a couple notches this time as they continue to hunt down the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda. Interestingly, Moff Gideon doesn’t make an appearance in the trailer, but no doubt he’ll have a huge role to play as the antagonist of the new season.

Speaking on season two, Pascal revealed that fans should expect “some pretty mind-blowing things”, adding that “expectations will be exceeded. Fans’ love of Star Wars will be injected with steroids.”

That’s more than good enough for me, and we’ll be waiting intently for The Mandalorian to debut on Disney+ next month. Check the full trailer below.
