They’re gonna be total savages…

For the first time in the show’s history, ridiculously-hilarious cartoon South Park will air a one-hour special that focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic, and of course this is gonna be a cultural event. A new teaser released for the special (appropriately named “The Pandemic Special”) sees the residents of South Park dealing with the issue of masks, returning to school during a pandemic, and of course Randy trying to use the pandemic to fund his new business ventures.

The official synopsis reads “Randy comes to terms with his role in the COVID-19 outbreak as the on-going pandemic presents continued challenges to the citizens of South Park. The kids happily head back to school but nothing resembles the normal that they once knew; not their teachers, not their homeroom, not even Eric Cartman.”

Oh my god, just imagine trying to get a mask on Cartman, getting him to social distance or even cover his mouth when coughing. The whole town is gonna have the most ridiculous and bombastic reaction to the pandemic, and we definitely can’t wait to see it. South Park: The Pandemic Special will air September 30 on Comedy Central.
