Everyone’s favourite summer beer company Corona Extra are offering readers and drinkers a once-in-a-life-time trip to a literally deserted island with nine of your closest mates, the opportunity poses the age old question – just who would you take? Life Without Andy has put together our dream list of models, musicians, bloggers, surfers and designers that’d we’d gladly get stuck alongside on the remote Namotu Island, Fiji. This time, it’s Ming Nomchong, the brains behind travel blog The Drifter.

Ming already shares our passions like surf, photography and fashion, and has managed to curate a beautiful blog which documents her global adventures. See some of her images below, and just some of the reasons that we’d take her along to Namotu:

1. She’s been to Fiji before.

She describes Fiji as a “home away from home” and “her happy place”, so we’d love to share a trip with someone who appreciates the country in all of its natural glory. Plus, she says that she’s uncovered “hidden gems that only a local would know”, so maybe we could rely on her for the inside word on all the essential sights.

2. She’s a woman of the water.

Much like most of Team LWA, Ming is a member of the surfing world. As a woman of the water, she’s based in Byron Bay and would be the perfect partner to head to Namotu – home of Fiji’s best surfing spots.

3. She’d be the ultimate documenter of the trip.

Ming is an excellent photographer, but perhaps more impressively, she know show to weave in her images with accompanying words that give you an inspiring insight into her experiences. Documenting this trip would be a creatively satisfying project with her on board.

4. We’d love to talk about her shoots

And how she captures amazing images like this.

5. She makes cushions which will come in handy for all our siestas on the trip – and we’re planning on having a lot.
