At the bar, giant dice and horse head costumes signalled the arrival of the silly season, while the giant screen displayed unbeatable views of the Mix Up Stage. We watched some of the stage’s highlights from the plush Carlton couches including Allday, Slumberjack and a some thumping sets from Dena Amy.
After Two Door Cinema Club closed the stage at 11:30pm, the Carlton Dry Bar hosted it’s own DJs with The Groove Dealers, who spun throwback hip-hop heaters aplenty. They dished out everything from M.O.P to Lupe Fiasco to N.W.A, with accompanying film clips adding extra energy to the dance floor which kicked on assertively until 2:00am.
