Jesus Christ. Today might be the only appropriate time to use the time ‘Flashback Friday,’ because this mammoth tour announce will have you strolling straight back to the 2000s.
RNB Fridays have come through with this throwback tour hitting Australia this October, and the lineup is something to be marvelled: British UKG and R&B crooner, Craig David will be bringing his world-renowned TS5 set to Australia for the first time, mixing a DJ set with live elements and vocals. Jamaican legend Sean Paul – whose crossover singles like ‘Get Busy’ and ‘Temperature’ helped shape the dancehall-heavy sound so common in pop music today – will also be appearing, as will the pioneer of heartfelt and horny R&B, Ne-Yo.
The lineup doesn’t let up from there: Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland will be hopping on the tour following her coaching role on Australia’s The Voice, while Kelis, Mario, En Vogue and Christina Milian are some of the other names packed onto the blockbuster tour. Oh yeah, the icing on the cake? All shows will be hosted by the very loud yelling of Fatman Scoop himself. Hype!
