FBi Radio is turning 14 years old! To celebrate, they’re throwing a birthday party at Hudson Ballroom, soundtracked by 14 programs from the station’s illustrious stable. As expected, it’ll be a cross-genre jam featuring everything from relentless rave anthems to the hip-hop heavy, delivered by airwave specialists from Motorik to Swiss Dank.
Halfway Crooks is back this month, with rap heaters taking over the back room of Hudson Ballroom. Co-captains DJ Levins & Captain Franco will be going back to back until the wee hours of the morning, joined by special guest Joyride, fresh from his new single ‘Kings & Queens.’ Head along and listen to some Thugger.
Finnish trance mainstay Darude is headed back to Australia, still running off the momentum from the unexpected ressurection of his immortal 1999 anthem ‘Sandstorm.’ He’ll be taking centre stage at Ministry of Sound’s Saturday night residency at Ivy, with support from Ember. The Reclink Community Cup is coming back to the Inner-West once again this Sunday, hosting a charity Aussie rules match where Sydney’s biggest musicians and media personalities clash for a good cause. Funds raised will go to Reclink Australia, who support art and sports programs for disadvantaged communities. Afterparty at Vic on the Park!
