If you’re looking for a fresh start to the year, then Sydney event Field Day provides a strong option each and every NYD – and it looks like they’ve just revealed their first international act for 2018.

While the full lineup isn’t being announced until Tuesday, August 29, Field Day have just dropped a teaser to the revelation – and the short clip is soundtracked by Mura Masa’s single ‘Firefly.’ That gives us a strong hint that the English producer will be appearing at the 2018 edition, especially seeing as he’s also on the lineups for Australian festivals like Origin NYE and Beyond The Valley, which take place in close proximity to Field Day.

The Eurpopean producer gained worldwide acclaim with breakout anthem ‘Lovesick’ featuring ASAP Rocky, while his 2017 self-titled debut album also features the likes of Desiigner and Charli XCX. He also holds co-writing credits with the likes of Stormzy, so it’s fair to say that Mura Masa knows how to craft a hit. It’s looking like we can lock him in for Field Day 2018, but let’s wait until next Tuesday for full confirmation.

In the meantime, watch the presser below and get keen for NYD:
