Earlier this week, Future cancelled his last two appearances at Listen Out after a friend passed away.

Many fans in Sydney and Brisbane were gutted after learning that they wouldn’t get to see the Freebandz general in action, and Future’s absence has left a headline slot at Listen Out wide open, with organisers also stating that “at this late stage it won’t be possible to get a similar act to Australia to replace Future on his Listen Out dates.”

Now, Listen Out have announced his replacement in local beat favourites Hermitude. The duo have been crafting bangers and blurring the lines between hip-hop and electronica for years, and still stand as one of the leaders of the Elefant Traks stable.

“They are one of Australia’s biggest and most respected electronic/hip-hop acts and are brilliant live. If you haven’t seen them before, you’re in for a treat. They’ve kindly put their album recording commitments aside to bring their unrivalled festival skills to the party and make you dance,” Listen Out wrote on socials.

There’ll be updated set times soon for Sydney’s soiree on Saturday, as well as Brisbane’s on Sunday – in the meantime, get familiar with some of Hermitude’s biggest heaters:
