Jesus Christ, how about this for a debut lineup?

Secret Sounds – the team behind Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival – have just revealed their latest venture in collaboration with Live Nation, C3 and Triple J. Sydney City Limits is an extension of well-established sister festival Austin City Limits, which has taken place in the Southern American city since 2002. It’s inaugural edition is set to hit Centennial Park on February 24, 2018, and the mammoth lineup is truly something to be marvelled.

French electro pioneers Justice will be headlining the whole affair, while Beck, Phoenix, The Libertines, Grace Jones and Thundercat are some of the other heavyweight internationals who will be heading Down Under. The Australian contingent features festival favourites like Gang of Youths and Dune Rats, as well as emerging talents like Winston Surfshirt and Alex Lahey. Throw in local beat legends The Avalanches, and this is looking pretty neat.

Organisers have stated that there will be 30 acts spread over 4 stages at Sydney City Limits, and with today’s announcement of 22 artists, there’s still some more surprises to come. Additionally, the event will host markets, live art and food by burger connoisseurs Mary’s thrown into the mix. Not bad for their first time!

Tickets to Sydney City Limits go on sale from 9:00am on Wednesday, November 1 right here. Wrap your head around the whole lineup below:
