Premiere: Kimono Drag Queens Hit Us With Twisted New Video For ‘Sublime’

It’s been a while between releases for Sydney psych seven piece Kimono Drag Queens, but finally we have the first taste from their Cult Expanded EP which is due out early next year.

‘Sublime,’ their riff-lead tune, has all the darkness we’ve come to expect from the band as it follows the cat and mouse story of a couple bound by stockholm syndrome.

Directed by Hannah Dougherty and David Burrowes, the video has a similar flavour to Stranger Things, The Ring and even Home Alone as it follows three separate stories of people becoming brainwashed by the things they are watching on TV – kinda like how you feel after an eight hour Netflix binge. It’s got (sexy?) aliens, a killer kid and plenty of purple blood, so what more could you ask for?
