Is this the biggest move from a festival in the last five years?

Sydney City Limits is making its debut next year, and they’re definitely set to impress. Their debut lineup includes the likes of Justice, Beck, Phoenix, Grace Jones and The Libertines, and aside from pleasing your earholes, the crew are set on tantalising your tastebuds with their formidable food options available to those who attend on February 24.

With a slew of food curated by Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham, the crew from Mary’s will be serving up their famed burgers, while some seafood will come courtesy of Fat Fish. Porteno, Fratelli, Yullis and Hartsyard are some of the other favoured eateries from Sydney who will be packing into Centennial Park, but one name has really caught our eyes and stomachs: Chinese Noodle Restaurant.

Known for its grapes on the roof decor, deer tapestry on the walls and assertive waitresses, Chinese Noodle Restaurant is an experience that most Sydneysiders will have undergone, usually after buying heaps of useless shit from the nearby Paddy’s Markets. In fact, the fandom around Chinese Noodle Restaurant has even inspired bootleg merchandise from die-hard enthusiasts:

Food-wise, the Chinatown institution will be bringing its silky handmade noodles and wholesome dumplings (comin’ in hot steamed, pan-fried or boiled) to Sydney City Limits, but one pivotal question remains: will we be able to purchase the restaurant’s majestic braised eggplant while Justice drop ‘Phantom Part II’? Only time will tell, fingers crossed.
