With Western Australia done and dusted, Summer Bright Lager’s Summer Sessions tour is kicking on to Coffs Harbour next weekend.

For the third show of the tour, Summer Sessions will be taking over the excellently-named Hoey Moey for an arvo of free tunes and fresh air, delivered to you promptly by co-headliners Alex Lahey and The Belligerents. This time around, the two acts will be joined by local boys Bored Shorts, who have already managed to make quite an impact in their relatively short career. Bored Shorts are all about breezy riffs, sweet melodies and lyrics about sorting your life out as a 20-something; a task which we still haven’t managed to complete.

Ahead of the show, we caught up with Charles and Dom from the trio to talk through some iconic Coffs Harbour spots, what it’s like to be a lifesaver, and other fruits (besides The Big Banana) that should be immortalised an an oversized statue.
