Watch Kendrick Lamar Cut Off A Fan For Rapping The N-Word Onstage

In just under two months, Kendrick Lamar will be gracing us once again as this year’s Splendour in the Grass headliner – and if you do get plucked from the crowd to rap along onstage, here’s a pretty good indicator of what you should avoid.

Lamar recently played at Hangout Fest in Alabama, when a fan joined Lamar onstage for rambunctious crowd favourite, ‘m.A.A.d City.’ Unfortunately, she managed to drop the n-word twice in the opening hook before Lamar stops the track, giving way to a chorus of boos coming from the crowd.

“Am I not cool enough for you? What’s up, bro,” the fan questions. “You’ve gotta bleep one single word,” Lamar replies. The track starts once more, but the second effort is short-lived, as Lamar cuts the music once more, thanks her for her efforts, and moves her offstage. Welp.
