Having already released a stacked lineup for their opening and closing nights, Brisbane Festival has taken things to the next level with a bunch of new acts.

It must have been pretty tough for organisers of Brisbane Festival to remain tight-lipped over the last week or so. Having announced the opening night of the three week long festival will see hometown heroes Ball Park Music headlining, with indie-poppers San Cisco, Ruby Fields and Tia Gostelow, and the closing night would feature grunge lords Violent Soho, Meg Mac, Methyl Ethyl and WAAX, they must have been chomping at the bit to add even more big names to the roster.

Joining this delicious looking lineup over various days of the festival will be psych/funk masters Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Canadian indie-rockers Destroyer, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Polish Club and Jen Cloher. There’s also some huge Australian acts that will be performing, including former Hottest 100 winners Eskimo Joe, Triple J favourite Sarah Blasko, Drones frontman Gareth Liddiard and more.
