Making headlines a few days ago with reports that he had designed the logo for Blexit – the conservative campaign to encourage African-American voters to leave the Democratic Party – Kanye West has now claimed he had little to do with the design and was manipulated into being a face of the movement.
I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it.

In a couple of tweets today, the controversial figure has announced that he is ‘distancing himself’ from politics to focus on his artistic endeavours. It comes just a fortnight after his bizarre meeting in the Oval Office with President Trump, in which he amped up his support of Trump.
My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!

It’s hard to imagine Kanye stepping down from any kind of platform, though time will tell if he can remain tight-lipped in a world that is becoming more politicised by the second – stay tuned.
