The 21 year old r&b prodigy from Vancouver has been making waves with a series of impressive EP releases and a sound that lies somewhere in between The Weeknd and James Blake.
No More Love Songs follows EP single ‘Shelter’, and a tour of Asia with frequent collaborator Pomo, borrowing neo-soul elements to tell a series of conflicted love stories. Give it a spin this weekend and check out a quick breakdown of each track below.
Originally left off his 2018 EP Body High, track 1 ‘Father Figure’ feels at home on this project and sets the tone for a different type of emotional journey. The second track ‘I Know’, chops and compares different contradictions of love and like ‘Father Figure’, is another r&b gem that was definitely worth the wait.
“I started ‘I Know’ with Noah Williamson about 3 years ago. We pretty much just posted up in a little cabin with no reception for two weeks and made about 4-5 tracks. ‘I Know’ was the one that stood out to me the most at the time,” Brome said.
Track 3 ‘Shelter’, takes things up a notch. Equal parts love and homesick, Harrison Brome lays down chilling vocals to illustrate his inner conflict.
“In 2017 I started my first tour and I did the majority of music festivals in Canada. I had some time in between to go to Toronto to work with Zale Epstein who did my previous Body High EP with Davey Badiuk. I was feeling homesick at the time, so I fed off that energy. We wrote and produced ‘Shelter’ within a couple of days. That was around the same time I started working with Pomo out of Warehouse Studios in Vancouver,” he said.

The final, and title, track for the EP ‘No More Love Songs’, is a personal number about an up-and-down relationship and perfectly captures the essence of Harrison Brome’s appeal. Soulful, honest and relatable af.
“I’m grateful for being able to work with some of my closest friends on the music that I love. I couldn’t think of a better track to wrap my EP up with and I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I do.”
