If you’ve been getting yourself to gigs in and around Sydney over the past decade, you’ll have undoubtedly stumbled across soul-punk outfit Fait Accompli. Since releasing their 2009 debut LP, Dreams, the four-piece have seemingly made it their mission to set every venue they play at on fire with an abundance of staunch riffs, chaotic drumming, and heart-on-sleeve lyricism.
Following a two-year hiatus, the group returned in 2018 to fill the Fait-shaped hole in the scene with the spacey groove track ‘Highways’, which reignited the creative flame of the group and saw them once again grace stages around Sydney.

Their forthcoming single ‘Pressure’ sounds like it’s gonna be well worth the wait too. ‘It’s a fuzzy, angsty mess that’s on the brink of collapse, though through sheer willpower ‘Pressure’ clings for dear life and just pulls through,” says singer Ray Lalotoa. “We’ve been given a lot of time to grow not only as a band but as people. And with the addition of Matt on second guitar this has helped us come to a far bigger conclusion as far as our sound is concerned.”
With ‘Pressure’ just on the horizon (released June 14th), Fait Accompli have announced an East Coast tour that includes a slot at this year’s Yours & Owls festival alongside Courtney Barnett, Skegss, Amy Shark, and more. Check out the dates below and head here for the Fait Accompli FB events page:
