With their latest single ‘Sad Guy’ blowing up all over Spotify, YouTube, and triple j, it seems like there’s no stopping Perth garage outfit Sly Withers. If you haven’t checked out the accompanying clip, in which the guys reenact the classic “where the fuck am I?” stage of a hangover perfectly, you’re missing out.
The tune is just as cool, with the group’s talent for writing infectious melodies balanced nicely with their ability to give us something to bang out heads to – and we undoubtedly will be when they make their way around the country for their debut national tour (dates below info here).

Check out the photo diary below, which captures the lad’s pre and post the first show of the ‘Sad Guy’ tour in Perth, which (obviously) was a sell out:
Shea explains his patented kissing technique to us all before the show at Joel’s house.
Joel tries to take in the information he has just received from Shea.
Joel just bought new bikes so we weren’t not gonna take photos with them.
Joel’s dog Oscar either really wanted to be in the photo with the bikes or wanted to play fetch. Possibly both.
Sam restringing his guitar because fresh strings sound nice and we had a big show that night n stuff.
There’s one of our songs Joel really didn’t want to play at this first show of the tour. This is him finding out we definitely aren’t playing it while setting up for soundcheck.
Jono backstage thinking about how this is our first show in nearly 6 months.
Shea sleepy after big rock show.
There’s a whole lot more to team Sly than just the 4 of us onstage. Hell, there’s even a whole lot more to team Sly than are in this photo. We are very lucky to have so many amazing people with us on this journey and we’d be nothing without them.
