Splendour In The Grass’ 2019 arts program is once again forcing us to write headlines we’d never have dreamt of.
You might remember last year when Splendour collaborators Cool Shit bought 20ft Snoop Dogg Hot Dogs to the North Byron Parklands as part of the Splendour Arts program. Well, now the team behind that monstrosity (we mean that in the nicest way) are back with a seemingly even more outrageous piece – “The Rock Rock” – which we can only imagine is an inflatable rock-shaped version of The Rock. Confusing enough?
Joining The Rock will be Hiromi Tango’s immersive Brain Flower room, Andy Forbes’ Mirror Palace, and a bunch of other mind-expanding performances and pieces. And that’s not all – you’ll be able to get your craft fix with a bunch of free workshops that include everything from shirt-rehashing to badge-making.
