From militant rap to melodic flows, the South-West Sydney rap crew are sampling and showing off diverse new sounds with every release.

As the title suggests, ‘Money Talk’ is about the paper chase and gets into Freesouls’ uncompromising approach to their pursuit of finer things. It’s a classic rap narrative taking contemporary cues with help from producer Muller Made, and while their old-school vibe has grown to incorporate an evolving set of rap sensibilities and influences, Freesouls’ authenticity still reigns supreme. At different points in the song they touch on both sides of chasing a dream with an appreciation for the love they’re already receiving, ambition for what they’re yet to achieve, staying true to themselves, and swerving the fakes around them.
