jade imagine have clocked up a lot of K’s over the past couple of months.

Having toured Australia with folk singer-songwriter Stella Donelly and the UK with psych-rockers POND over September October and November, you’d understand if jade imagine wanted to take a little break. However, hours huddled up in various vans in various climates, thankfully hasn’t deterred the four-piece whose Australian headline tour kicks off tomorrow in Hobart.

Basic Love – one of our favourites of 2019 – feels like indie-rock at its most artful and refined, blending raw guitars with verbed-out vocals or vice versa in a way that makes you feel present but also allows you to get lost in the melodies. Naturally, we are more than keen to check them out when they hit Sydney (tour info here, dates below)

In late 2019 we went on the road with Stella Donnelly around Aus and then over to the UK to support POND for their album tour. Here are some photos in no particular order from this time. Most of the photos were taken on our bass player Maddie’s 35mm and the last few were taken on Stella’s guitarist and all round ledge, George’s 35mm. Enjoy, Jade xx

Post-coffee and walk stop off in Manchester. The show with POND got cancelled the night before because their van broke down just outside of Glasgow so we went out for a band hot pot d8, slept in, got up and went to the Manchester Aquatic Centre for a sauna. Don’t think too much about it. Yummy.

“I found my colours quick Snoopy (maddie’s new nickname) take a photo of me!” That’s what I said and that’s what happened. In a corner in a cafe, Leeds.

Maddie knitted this on the road and on planes throughout the POND tour. I think she’s making a bag to hold books or something. Shout out to the Bulk Bonsoy in the back.

We stayed at Cecil and Georgia from Body Type’s house in Thirroul and had a swim out of principle even tho it was technically still winter.

Snoopy & cake at “Tebay”; is a rest stop on the highway between Glasgow and London and it is the only relatively good rest stop i’ve been to in the UK. I accidentally stole a pack of womens sanitary items because I was really tired and forgot I had them in my hand until we were in the car and on the highway again.
