Liam Gallagher has taken to Twitter to vent his frustration at his set being cut short during last night’s Margaret Court Arena show. Gallagher and band were closing out the show with Oasis’ 1994 hit ‘Supersonic’, before the sound was completely cut out, forcing them to shuffle awkwardly off stage.
Check out his tweets below:

Naturally, this sort of attention only adds to Australia’s global reputation as a place where nightlife/events are heavily restricted by government bodies. Punters have already taken to social media to express their shame and embarrassment at such rigid and overbearing policies:
11pm Curfew at Margaret court arena . Literally turned PA off halfway through Liam Gallagher singing Supersonic. #joke

Hey @DanielAndrewsMP make a formal apology to the great Liam Gallagher first thing tomorrow morning.
This is so un-Melbourian and Un-Victorian, as a Patriot to my true home state, I am ashamed we did this to the great man at his gig. https://t.co/WTHgc8r4sO— Dylan Leach (@leachitup) December 11, 2019
Over the next week Gallagher has remaining shows in Adelaide and Perth before heading over to NZ, let’s hope fans aren’t left hanging again!
