Hockey Dad have definitely shaken things up in their music video for new song ‘Itch’, as the clip sees the boys release a toxic chemical into the wind, exposing everyone to it and eventually becoming zombies themselves. The clip shows a side of the zombie lifestyle that we don’t usually get to see in pop culture, as we see the boys eating their bloody fruit loops together and skating before meeting their untimely demise at the hands of zombie hunters.

The song itself is equally as sick as the visual, with it being the “most non-Hockey Dad song” the boys have ever written according to an interview with Paste magazine. It’s got a super haunting guitar loop, building up to a goosebump inducing crescendo as drummer Billy Flemming goes wild on the chorus. Singing about “a person having someone under their skin and constantly invading their thoughts”, it’s clear the boys are at the top of their game on the songwriting side as well. Lucky for us, with the new music video comes news of the boys new album Brain Candy, slated for release on 29th of May.

Looks like 2020 is gonna be good folks, and we can’t for the Hockey Dad boys to release another album full of classic tunes.
