Keep em coming boys…

British EDM duo Disclosure are an absolute powerhouse, crafting some of the catchiest EDM bangers of the last decade whilst pushing the genre forward into new and exciting heights. And if you were at Field Day or Falls Festival over New Years, you know that the boys live up to every bit of the hype and then some.

In terms of new music the boys had been relatively silent until recently, with the duo releasing a song every day for the last four days.

To give you a quick rundown, the first of the releases ‘Ecstacy’ is a Disclosure fan’s dream, with hard hitting kicks, addictive claps and mind bending synth lines that’ll have you hook, line and sinker.

‘Tondo’ with Eko Roosevelt is a real dancehall/ Reggaeton vibe with gorgeous vocals and lush production that makes you feel like you’re dancing by the water at a super groovy club.

‘Expressing What Matters’ is a mad groove featuring fluttering vocal lines and staccato-esque synths. Sampling Boz Scaggs’ ‘Lowdown’ for those gorgeous backing vocals, the track also features a horn lovers dream that takes it all the way back to the 70’s and 80’s. Needless to say, Earth, Wind & Fire fans are gonna love this.

Their latest offering ‘Etran’ samples Nigerian-based band Etran Finatawa, as they mesh catchy rhythmic chanting from Etran with those classic Disclosure drums. Taking to Twitter, the boys described the idea behind the track “With this one we are exploring an idea… How far can we take a sound that’s somewhere in the realm of house music, until it morphs into a whole new being?”

It seems like the boys are on a real creative streak right now, with each new track being significantly different to the other. Their new album is imminent, and if the rest of the tracks are anywhere near as fire as these singles, the British duo might again change the EDM game forever.

Here’s hoping they come back down under real soon to help us all get our groove on.
