The Peaky Blinders star is on fire right now…

With A Quiet Place Part II set to be released in cinemas March 20th, Paramount Pictures have come through with a special teaser to drum up excitement, sharing a featurette about a new character named Emmett, played by Peaky Blinders/ Batman star Cillian Murphy.

The two minute clip gives us some behind the scenes and on screen footage of Cillian Murphy’s character as writer/ director John Krasinski describes the amount of loss that Emmett has suffered. Making him “dark” and “unpredictable”, we can see what he means, with Murphy’s incredible stage presence delivering just the right amount of mystery and nuance that Emmett needs.

The clip also shows Emmett meeting Emily Blunt’s character Evelyn for the first time, as he refuses to help her and her newborn child.

John gave us a little bit more of an insight into the character, saying “The beauty of Cillian’s character was that there’s so much loss in his life. He doesn’t feel the need to be a part of any community”, and honestly, this has us so hyped. A character like this is perfectly matched to the A Quiet Place world, and you can bet we’re counting down the days until it’s finally released in theatres.
