Eight hours of heaven…

If there’s anyone who can bring together countless musicians across the world for an online concert, it’s without a doubt Lady Gaga. Raising countless amounts of money for the World Health Organisation’s Solidarity Response Fund and celebrate COVID-19 workers, Gaga truly manages to pull off a once in a lifetime event. After the first six hours of live-streamed performances and calls to donate, Gaga announced in amazing Gaga fashion to “Put your wallets away. It’s our love letter to the world – the incredible artists we’ve got lined up for you, they’re all here to say thank-you, to celebrate you, to give back a little bit of kindness that you’ve given to us.”

Stars who graced the livestream include Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, Billie Eilish, Elton John and countless more. What a lineup, seriously.

Stars took the time to share how they’ve been coping with the whole crisis, with British pop star Ellie Goulding admitting “I can get quite socially anxious, so you’d think lockdown would be a breeze for me, but actually I’m finding it really hard”. It’s good to see stars opening up like this, just shows that everyone is doing it tough during these times. But at least we’ve got countless hours of live streams by musos across the world to help us get through it all.
