Beyoncé Pens Open Letter To Kentucky Attorney General Demanding Justice For Breonna Taylor

The superstar has requested that the police officers involved face criminal charges.

In the wake of George Floyd’s death and the mass protests in the US, a light has also been shone on the killing of 26-year-old Breonna Taylor. Taylor, who was unarmed at the time, was murdered by Louisville Metro Police when they were executing a no-knock search warrant on March 16th this year.

So far no charges have been laid against any of the officers involved, though Kentucky have passed ‘Breonna’s Law’ which has made no-knock searches illegal in the state. Beyoncé penned the open letter, asking Kentucky Attorney-General Daniel Cameron to not “let this case fall into the pattern of no action after a terrible tragedy.” Read the full letter, which was posted on Bee’s website, in the tweet below:
