The Byrdes are definitely gonna go out with a bang…

Much to the world’s delight, Netflix has announced that Ozark will return for a fourth and final season, which will be split into two parts. Each half will have seven episodes each, which will make for a 14 episode season in total. The announcement was paired with a visual teaser that pays tribute to the show’s opening credits scene. But contrasting to the traditional Ozark format, there was no inclusion of any symbols that could give us a hint of what we can expect.

Commenting on the news in a statement, show runner and executive producer Chris Mandy said “We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right. It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

Star of the show Jason Bateman added “A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes. Im excited to end with a bang(s).”

Netflix hasn’t announced a premiere date for the new season as of yet, but we’ll be the first to let you know when they do…
