Mamba forever…
Adhering to their promise and paying tribute to one of the GOATs, NBA 2K has unveiled Kobe Bryant as the final cover star for NBA 2K21.
Bryant is also highlighted on two Mamba Forever Edition covers, with the current generation showcasing Kobe in his number eight jersey & the next generation seeing him in number 24. The covers feature some gorgeous shading and vibrant colouring, showcasing the Mamba in all his glory and the magic he had on & off the court.
Bryant follows New Orleans Pelicans play Zion Williamson and Portland Trailblazer star Damian Lilliard, the latter previously appearing on the cover of NBA Live 2015. Speaking on the decision, 19-year-old Williamson told The Undefeated’s Marc J. Spears “It’s one of those emotions I’m still processing. It’s a dream come true.”
NBA2K21 is set to release on September 4 on PS$, XBOX One, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC and Google Stadia. The game will also be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X. But for now, check out the covers for Kobe, Zion & Damon below.
