Netflix is firing on all cylinders…

Following up its insanely successful first season, Netflix has dropped the trailer for The Umbrella Academy season two, and it looks extremely promising. Picking up where the first season left off, the Hargreeves siblings escape the end of the world using time travel, but end up bringing the apocalypse with them to the 1960s. Shaking things up even more, major characters are sent to different time periods, which will make for some interesting moments as they’ll have to learn how to adjust to the differences between the 1960s and 2019.

The three-minute trailer sees our heroes getting up to all sorts of mischief, particularly their close encounters with the three assassins hell bent on their destruction. The trailer also features a new tune from My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, who actually created the series. The track, named ‘Here Comes The End’ is super upbeat and thrilling, perfectly matching the intense struggles our heroes are facing as they attempt to save their respective worlds.

Opening up on the track, Way said “I was originally inspired to write this track when series one of The Umbrella Academy was being shot. By the time I finished it 2020 was in full swing, the world had taken a profound turn and the song was finished in a surreal new reality.”

Season two of The Umbrella Academy is scheduled to drop on Netflix on July 31. Check the full trailer below.
