Wishing him the best…

Houston Rocks star Russell Westbrook has taken to Twitter to announce he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently quarantining, two weeks out from the NBA restart.

“I tested positive for Covid-19 prior to my team’s departure to Orlando. I’m currently feeling well, quarantined, and looking forward to rejoining my teammates when I am cleared. Thank you all for the well wishes and continued support. Please take this virus seriously,” the star wrote online.

Westbrook joins players Spencer Dinwiddie, Nikola Jokic, DeAndre Jordan & numerous others who have tested positive for the virus prior to travelling to the NBA bubble. It is yet unclear if he is experiencing any symptoms.

Westbrook and his teammates James Harden & Luc Mbah a Moute all didn’t travel with the team to Orlando to enter the bubble prior to the NBA restart, and Harden is still yet to enter the bubble. However, once they all arrive in Orlando, they’ll have to quarantine for 48 hours, and produce an additional two negative tests within 24 hours before they can rejoin the team.

The NBA season restarts on July 30, with the Houston Rockets set to play the Dallas Mavericks on July 31.
