After weeks of scrambling, rumours of bowing out & just general craziness, Kanye West will hold his first campaign rally at the Exquisites Event Centre in South Carolina. In response to the continued rise of COVID-19 cases around the U.S., social distancing measures will be strictly enforced, with all guests having to wear masks inside as well as stay six feet apart from one another. Guests will also only be allowed to attend if they register for the event.
For a minute there, it seemed that Ye wasn’t gonna make it anywhere close to holding a rally, with rumours swirling of the Chicago rapper missing deadlines and lacking the amount of signatures necessary to appear on ballots, but both of those have proven to be untrue. The producer extraordinaire has filed his papers with the Federal Election Commission to get on the Oklahoma ballot, and took to Twitter just the other day to post a petition to get him on the South Carolina ballot.
If you're a voter in South Carolina, please sign this petition to place me on the ballot Sponsored by Ye 2020 https://t.co/ZURvTEW9ee pic.twitter.com/Z9tdq0eG9c

Independent presidential candidate Kanye West has qualified for the General Election ballot in Oklahoma. (Today is Oklahoma's deadline for Independent & Unrecognized Party presidential candidates to file statements of candidacy with their petitions or filing fee.)

At this point of the race the Birthday Party Candidate has 2% of the vote, which, however small it may seem, is still decent when you think of how late in the game it is. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how Ye continues to travel until the November election… Check out his tweet below to see how presidential candidates roll in 2020.
(Update: The rally has actually started since this article has gone live. Check out the full live stream below).
