After announcing Scream 5 to much excitement from the horror community, Paramount Pictures have now announced that the highly-anticipated film has been pushed back from its initial release date. Starring returning actors Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, as well as new additions Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera, the horror-flick is set to be the fifth addition in the popular franchise.
Now, the film is set to be released on January 14, 2022. This is definitely a significant wait, considering the first release date had the movie set to hit theatres in late 2021. To soften the pushback however, the official Scream twitter accompanied the announcement by a moving poster featuring the classic Ghostface mask. To give you a bit of background, in each film a different killer wears the infamous Ghostface mask, so no doubt fans are already compiling theories as to who will be donning it this time around.
Check out the teaser below and start counting the days until January 14, 2022!
