Continuing their awesome #whatwedonext collaboration, pop-megastar Billie Eilish and Telekom Electronic Beats have linked up to give a platform to young activists, entrepreneurs and creatives. The two-and-a-half minute video sees the group share their thoughts on challenging the status quo and the issues facing the next generation, and it makes for an awesome conversation.
The group is made up of young people like Jahkini Bisselink (former United Nations Youth Representative for the Netherlands and social activist), Fabian Grischkat (musician, comedian and LGBTQI+ rights activist) and Anna-Laura Kummer, (sustainable fashion activist and founder of The Slow Label).
The group also talk technology and how it influences their art and activism, displaying a wisdom beyond their years as they reflect on their various upbringings and the role of the internet in their lives. The group also quiz Billie on being a celebrity and the unique pressures she faces in her own life while trying to bring about social change, showing that although she’s the biggest pop-star in the world, at the end of the day she’s just a regular young person who wants to make a difference.
It’s a really cool conversation and shows the youth of today have opinions on the world and aren’t afraid to act on them. Check the full interview below.
